Hello, I’m Jonny.

I’ve been passionate about photography and film for over twenty five years now, having first gotten a taste of darkroom life way back in junior year of high school. I studied analog photography at McHenry County College under the eternally amazing Arthur Hand, following up with a BA in Film Production from Columbia College, Chicago.

I’m super into French New Wave, Italian Neorealism, and Classic Hollywood cinema, and heavily influenced by the photographic works of Robert Mapplethorpe, Mick Rock, Annie Leibovitz, Ansel Adams, Sally Mann, and many more. I love portraiture and photojournalism. Documentation is a passion for me. I like to find a subject’s truth and true self, capturing their natural beauty and spirit. I love aesthetics and symmetry. I want you to feel like a movie star.

I can shoot any type of scenario, in my studio or on location, be it sunny family portraits, headshots, a destination wedding, or a brooding fashion spread. My rates are competitive, ranging anywhere from $300 to $3000 depending on the project- and I often work within my client’s budget. I tailor each shoot and price individually.
